Privacy Policy

Overview

“We”, “us”, and “our” mean Slate Wing Labs LLC, a Colorado limited liability company that owns and operates the Wildroam product. Wildroam is a product name, not a separate company. This policy explains what we collect for the Wildroam product and why. By using Wildroam you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account data: email, username, optional profile fields (name, bio, location, rig details).
• User content: places you add, stays, reviews, condition reports, and photos you upload.
• Usage data: basic server logs (IP, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability.
• Location: only if you grant browser geolocation (used client-side to center the map / “near me” filters). We do not continuously track your GPS.
• Approximate country: derived from your IP via our hosting edge (country code only, not a precise address). Used to understand where Wildroam is used and plan which countries to support next.

How we use it

• Provide the map, accounts, and community features
• Prevent abuse (rate limits, bot protection)
• Improve reliability and fix bugs
• Communicate about your account (e.g. email confirmation)
• Aggregate country counts for product and expansion planning

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

We use trusted processors to run the Wildroam product under Slate Wing Labs LLC:

• Supabase — auth, database, and file storage
• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery
• Map tile providers — OpenStreetMap and related basemaps; camping photo sources may include recreation.gov CDNs when linked from official data

Those providers process data under their own privacy policies as needed to deliver their services.

Cookies and sessions

We use essential cookies/session storage for authentication and security. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Retention

Account and user content are kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some logs may be retained for a limited period for security.

Your choices

• Update profile data in the app
• Decline browser location permission
• Request account deletion via the contact email below

Children

Wildroam is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
